Security Professional
The Security professional's role is to identify and resolve potential security breaches and vulnerability issues in a timely and accurate fashion. The Security Professional will conduct both network and user activity audits where required. Determining security needs, developing and implementing solutions, and creating security policies are essential tasks for this position.

Responsibilities
- Conducting security threat and risk assessment of IT facilities, applications and hardware systems.
- Participate in the review of all IT changes as it pertains to Security.
- Assisting in compliance audits of IT operations, application systems and infrastructures .
- Evaluating security-related software/hardware for IDS / IPS, Firewalls, Anti Virus and Anti Spam Solutions.
- Investigating security incidents, related weaknesses and making recommending.

Position Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of practical working experience in a security position.
- Extensive Knowledge of Window NT, 2000, Windows XP, 2003, HP Unix, Sun Solaris operating system platforms. Familiarity with other platforms such as AS/400 and Tandem would be a strong advantage.
- Understanding of systems administration, intrusion detection and vulnerability analysis.
- Five to ten years experience in information technology, with experience in major IT infrastructure projects.
- Minimum of 3 years practical working experience with Virtual Private Networks, RSA SecurID, Intrusion Detection Systems ( Host & Network ), Cisco Pix Firewalls, Cisco routers, Cisco catalyst switches, DMZ architecture, PKI and P2P solutions, Anti-Spam solutions and wireless technologies.
- Extensive knowledge of SSL, SSH, HTTPS, SFTP, NTLM.
- Experience with security testing tools, development of threat assessments and security testing methodologies.
- Experience with such best practices as CoBIT and ISO 17799 and tools such as ISS RealSecure, and QualysGuard.
- Completion of a BSc in Computer Science or Engineering, CISSP, GIAC, CISA, CCIE, MCSE, CCNA , CCIE, CCNP, CCSA, CCSP or other security certifications would be definite assets.
